Membership

(Constituent members of corporations)

Article 5  Members are ranked within this corporation as follows.

(1)Full members Persons having an occupational therapists license pursuant to Article 3 of the Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists Act of Japan (Act No. 137 of 1965), and advocating for the objectives of this corporation.
(2)Supporting members Individuals or corporations advocating for and supporting the objectives of this corporation.
(3)Honorary members Persons who have distinguished themselves in the service of this corporation or have relevant education or experience.

(Acquisition of membership qualifications)

Article 6 (1) Persons wishing to become full members must apply as stipulated by the Board of Trustees and receive its approval.
(2) Persons wishing to become supporting members must apply as stipulated by the Board of Trustees and receive its approval.
(3) Honorary members must be recommended by the Board of Trustees per its stipulations, and receive the approval of the general membership.

(Supporting members)

Article 1 According to Article 5, Paragraph 2 and Article 6, Paragraph 2 of the articles of incorporation of the Japanese Association of Occupational Therapists, individuals or corporations advocating for and supporting the objectives of this association may submit the attached membership application form (form number 2 of the enforcement regulations) to the president, and become a supporting member of this association with the approval of the Board of Trustees.

(Supporting member dues)

Article 2 (1) Supporting members are divided into A members, B members, and C members with fees as follows.
A members200 thousand yen annually or more (20 or more memberships at 10 thousand yen each)
B members100 thousand yen annually or more (10 or more memberships at 10 thousand yen each)
C members20 thousand yen annually or more (2 or more memberships at 10 thousand yen each)
(2) In principle, dues are paid on the last day of June for a given year.

(Supporting members benefits)

Article 3 Individuals or corporations that are supporting members may receive the following benefits.
(1) If they engage in the development, improvement, or information gathering for devices and equipment related to occupational therapy, they may receive the guidance and advice of this association. (2) If there is exhibition at academic conferences or training sessions held by this association, they may use the following exhibition spaces free of charge.

However, any costs associated with construction are the responsibility of supporting members.
(3) They may list their office, place of operation, and telephone number, as well as their line of business, in the membership list issued by this association free of charge. (4) If placing advertisements in association publications or papers issued by this association, they will receive the following benefits for listing fees.
A members50 percent discount
B members30 percent discount
C members10 percent discount

(Fundraising restrictions)

Article 4 In principle, supporting members may not seek donations at academic conferences or training sessions held by this association.
